Koch Chemie’s Cb0.01 is a highly hydrophobic, powerful UV and chemical protection and enhanced gloss is the key to unlocked next level protection for your paints surfaces
Ceramic Body Cb0.01 is Koch Chemie’s powerful ceramic coating which can be used on a variety of surfaces to provide long-lasting protection to your car, truck, bike, caravan, boat and more!
The thin protective ceramic layer permanently bonds to the surface through a chemical reaction called Flashing. This chemical reaction is started by air humidity and solvents evaporating, level a hardened surface behind. This hardened surface is UV resistant and Chemical resistant, protecting your paints surfaces from environmental influences such as UV radiation, road salt, bird droppings, and rust film, as well as reducing mechanical damage.
Ceramic Body Cb0.01 also creates a very hydrophobic surface with highly advanced roll-off properties, not only helping with visibility (in the rain) and repelling dirt and other contaminates left by rain, but also making it easier to clean when washing, reducing physical contact and therefor reducing swirl marks and scratches.
And lastly, Ceramic Body Cb0.01 enhances your vehicles gloss making it shiny and pop like never before. -
Features
- Experience high levels of gloss enhancement
- Bonds fantastically to all paint surfaces
- Creates a power hydrophobic effect with advanced roll-off properties
- Protects your paint’s surface from UV rays, bird poo, dead bugs and other contaminates
Specifications- Coverage: Consumption depending on vehicle size approx. 15-30 ml
- Durability (single Layer): Up to 24months (depending on maintenance)
- Durability (Double Layer): Up to 26-30 months (depending on maintenance)
Important Notes- Before use, please read the hazard warnings on the container or outer carton and take appropriate protective measures.
- Ceramic Body Cb0.01 reacts with air humidity. This can cause crystals to form on the rim when the bottle is opened. If these crystals get on the application cloth, the surface to be coated is scratched.
- In the case of double coatings, a drying time of approx. 45 minutes should be observed after the first coating, depending on the temperature and humidity.
-
Directions
- Before use, please read the hazard warnings on the container or outer carton and take appropriate protective measures
- We highly recommend familiarizing yourself with the ceramic coating process by thoroughly reading the instructions and watching some videos beforehand to understand the process.
- Make sure to thoroughly wash & decontaminate the vehicle’s surface and do any paint correction before ceramic coating your car.
- Wipe all surfaces with a clean microfibre using a oil & residue remover or panel preparation spray. Use a separate clean towel to dry the surface completely
- To apply, place the Application towel over the applicator block
- Apply a thorough amount of CB0.01 over the Application Towel and spread it quickly on the paintwork, proceeding component by component. in around a 30cm x 30cm area.
- Run the applicator in a cross coat pattern, left to right, then up to down, repeat once.
- At this point there should be a nice thin visible layer of liquid
- Allow product to flash. Flash off time is dependant on temperature and humidity. The higher the temperature/humidity, the flash time will be shorter. Application example 20°C humidity 43% Flash off time 6 minutes.
- First remove the excess and then use the fresh side of the towel to buff off in circular movements without applying pressure.
- Check the result with proper lighting to ensure that it is free of high spots.
- continue this process until the desired surface is complete
- See “aftercare & maintenance” For how to let your coating cure and to care for it
-
Aftercare
- The coating is only weatherproof after at least 24 hours.
- Do not wash the vehicle for the first time after nine days at the earliest, as the seal is only then fully cured. The curing time increases at low outside temperatures (below 15°C/59°F).
- Carry out a first car wash after nine days at the earliest, as the sealant is only then completely cured.
- The application of Koch Chemie Spray Sealant S0.02 or Koch Chemie Hand Wax 0.01 is recommended after 24 hours to protect the not yet fully cured ceramic seal.
- Cleaning agents with pH values below 3 or above 12 should be avoided.
- An opened bottle can be kept for a maximum of 6 months.
Maintaining your Ceraming coating
One of the most important things about ceramic coatings is the aftercare and maintenance required to increase the durability and longevity. Ceramic coatings are not a set and forget product, as without proper maintenance a coating will deteriorate quicker.
Ceramic coatings are chemical resistance and will repel dirt, grime, road film, minerals, oils stains, bird poo, waterspots and more, however they are not immune to these contaminants. Leaving these types of contaminants on the surface and letting them etch into the coating over weeks will significantly reduce the life of the coating.
Regular washing (every couple of weeks) with a pH neutral cleaning soap such as Koch Chemie (GSF) Gentle Snow Foam., along with a periodic maintenance wash with a more powerful decontamination soap (Every 3-6 months), such as Koch Chemie Reactivation Shampoo along with topping up the coating with other waxes or spray coatings will ensure the longevity of your ceramic coating.
