A waterless car wash is a solution is simply a method of washing your car that doesn’t involve running water &/or wash buckets. Instead, rinseless car wash solutions are sprayed directly onto the vehicle, and they provide cleaning power & lubrication to safely wipe off dirt & grime with the use of multiple microfiber cloths.

Well, there are quite a few pro’s and cons for using a waterless wash. Firstly the pro’s:
- Rinseless car wash is very economical.
- Waterless washes can be used by anyone and don’t require access to running water.
- waterless car wash sprays clean & protect in one step, on the go.
- Waterless car washes require the use of multiple microfiber cloths to be as safe as possible.
- A rinseless wash isn’t as thorough as a proper washing process.

When using a waterless car wash, there are a few things to keep in mind. We have created a list to help ensure that your rinseless car washing process is as safe & effective as possible:
- Follow the manufacturer's recommendations when mixing your waterless wash product, and utilise the proposed dilution ratio in a spray bottle.
- Don’t be scared to spray a generous amount of product onto your panel, this helps ensure your panel is evenly coated with the product and provides sufficient lubrication.
- Stick to working one panel at a time, from top to bottom and ensure your vehicle is out of direct sunlight (and the panels are cool to the touch!)
- When you have sprayed your waterless car was onto a panel, use your first cloth with minimal pressure in one direction at a time, turning your cloth to a clean section for each additional swipe - until you feel the panel is clean.
- Follow up with a second clean microfiber cloth to buff the panel, and create a streak-free finish, ensuring you are wiping with a clean section of your cloth with each pass.
- Continuously switch to new cloths as they show signs of use, you’ll need about half a dozen cloths or more depending on the size of your vehicle, and its level of grime or condition.

There are two different types of waterless car wash, and they differ to which active ingredient they predominately use. There are wax/polymer based waterless washes, which give a nice deep, warm glow when used. These tend to last a couple of weeks, and are easy to use. Aside from wax based products, there are also sio2 infused rinseless car washes, which take advantage of newer ceramic technology to create a glass like, reflective surface. These products tend to last a little longer. It comes down to your personal preference, but the sio2 waterless car wash products tend to be more popular.

Yes, we would recommend using sio2 based waterless wash products on top of a ceramic coating. We recommend checking with the brand you have used to ceramic coat your car, if they recommend using waterless car washes, but 99% of the time they will be fine to use and maintain your protection.

Similar to ceramic coatings. Yes, you can use either sio2 or wax/polymer based waterless car washes on top of your paint protection film. We would still recommend checking with the brand to ensure they recommend using waterless car washes, or spray coatings on top of the film, but again 99% of the time this will be fine.
