The class is aimed at professionals with little to no experience in paint protection film. It is expected that you are in the trade, and have a decent level of knowledge in car detailing, and have a desire to learn the fundamental practices used to apply Paint Protection Film to a car.

Paint Protection Film is a growing industry, and is an extremely profitable venture for any business in the detailing sector. PPF however is very daunting, as is it can be costly to get going, and is tough to learn. The purpose of this course is to give someone with little to no knowledge regarding PPF a pathway to offering this service into their business. By the end of the course you will understand the fundamentals of PPF, how to bulk fit a variety of different panels, how to fit a pre-cut template & what your next steps are to learning more and more.

Our Introduction to PPF course is designed to provide participants with theoretical and practical knowledge of the basic products, methods, and procedures involved in correctly wrapping a vehicle in Paint Protection Film. Attendants are expected to participate in a hands-on teaching approach to build the student’s confidence and assist them in learning and practising the fundamentals of Paint Protection Film, This class aims to arm you with as much information, and practical experience as possible to ensure you get the most out of this course, and understand the pathway to get your business offering PPF as a service.

This course is delivered in stages, starting with different learning modules aimed at gearing you up with theoretical knowledge that can then be applied straight away with hands-on experience to facilitate the highest form of learning. Lunch is provided, and two different vehicles are utilised. We will also provide all tools and equipment, as well as an installation kit for students to take after the course.

During the Course you'll learn:
- Understand the fundamentals of PPF, looking at the PPF itself, unboxing, storage, adhesive layers. Understand common terminology such as flexibility, tac, stretch & more - and what each of these concepts mean in regard to PPF.
- Understand the tools required for correct installation of Paint Protection Film such as squeegee's, knives, slip solutions, rinsing solutions & tac solutions
- Be able to identify, rectify & avoid common mistakes when applying PPF, such as glue lines, air bubbles, creases, debris, & more.
- Be able to identify, rectify & avoid common mistakes when applying PPF, such as glue lines, air bubbles, creases, debris, & more.
- Learn efficient and correct knife cutting practices, understanding how to safely cut PPF on flat, straight, curved, and shaped panels/areas.
- Understand how to Bulk Fit a Bonnet and other panels, understanding principles of tac, stretch, trimming & more.
- Understand the difference between Bulk Fitting and Templating, the benefits of each, and when one might be advantageous
- Learn how to fit pre-cut templates onto a vehicle, and how this differs to Bulk Fitting
- Learn throughout the course how to troubleshoot, and what to look out for.
