Waxit Enthusiast Wheel & Tyre Care Kit

The Enthusiast Wheel & Tyre Care Kit isn’t your average car detailing kit. It’s a full system designed to clean deeper, bond better, and make your wheels and tyres look like they actually belong on a detailed car.

Wheels and tyres are one of the most overlooked parts of a detail. But if you actually want your car to stand out, this is where the real impact is made. A proper clean, solid prep, and a high-quality tyre shine does more than just make things look good, it ties the whole detail together and keeps your wheels looking sharp for longer.

This is where the Waxit Enthusiast Wheel Care Kit comes in. It’s a complete system that gives you the right tools and products to properly clean, prep, and protect your wheels and tyres without turning it into a chore.

Start with CarPro ReTyre, one of the only tyre cleaners that actually strips the surface back properly. No greasy leftovers, no patchy bonding. Just raw, clean rubber ready for a real tyre dressing. Pair it with the Economax Tyre Brush, and you’re pulling out brown staining and baked-on gunk most people didn’t even realise was there.

Next comes NV PURGE, a true wheel cleaner. This isn’t your average pH-neutral foam or basic APC. PURGE bleeds purple as it dissolves brake dust, iron particles, and bonded grime from the wheel surface. And it does it fast. Most of the time, you don’t even need to touch the wheel. But if you do, you’ve got the Microfiber Wheel Brush and Economax Detailing Brushes in the kit. Built for getting into nuts, barrels, and behind spokes without scratching.

Once it’s clean, it’s time to protect. CarPro HydrO₂ goes on as a spray and rinses off. No touching, no buffing, no cure time. Just instant spray-on protection that beads water like crazy and keeps brake dust from sticking again. You dilute it using the Economax Mixing Bottle, and a single application gets you weeks of performance.

Finish off with CarPro DarkSide. One of the best tyre shine products we’ve used. It’s got a rich, satin finish with none of the greasy look or sling. It levels itself out beautifully, doesn’t streak, and bonds properly thanks to the prep you’ve done beforehand. Applied using the NV Tyre Dressing Applicator, the result is clean, uniform, dark rubber that stays looking sharp.

This kit is for anyone sick of cheap tyre shine, poor durability, and wheels that look good for five minutes before turning brown again. It’s about doing the job right, without making it a mission. Clean. Protect. Dress. Done properly, with gear that works.

    Good kit

    Lots to review here.

First off, I've never used a dedicated tire cleaner. And carpro retire is insanely good. I try to use it sparingly, but somehow I've used most of the bottle on only a couple of cars. It doesn't go as far as I wish it did.

I don't think I really like that economax wheel brush. The bristles are very stiff, and I so I don't feel comfortable scrubbing the tyres when I could scratch the rim. I just don't use this brush. Also, the first time I tried to use it, the rubber handle tries to slip off the brush.

The NV Purge is another awesome NV product. It works really well, but it also feels very safe. My biggest gripe with all the NV spray products, is the spray bottle nozzles leak. I have lost half the product in the bottle from the nozzle dripping out. Be very careful where you store this product if you are prone to forgetting to lock up the nozzle.

Carpro darkside smells very nice, like coconut and vanilla. You nearly want to wear it. It has a nice finish, couldn't get it applied as think as I'd have liked. I really had to rub the excess back off with an old cloth. I live on a dirt road and I found that this product does attract dirt, but it rinses off with the gurney quite easily. I've had cheap spray on tire shines that have stained my tyres brown, and I don't think this will do that.

The tyre dressing applicator is okay. It might be nicer for general road tires. But I do predominantly 4wds drives, and this just does not work around the knobs. I ended up…
