About CARPRO C.QUARTZ DLUX Kit

Wheels take more abuse than any other part of the car: heat, brake dust, road grime, iron fallout. DLUX is a ceramic coating built for exactly that. It handles over 400 °C, bonds to alloy and unpainted plastic, and leaves a slick surface brake dust cannot grip. Wheel cleaning goes from scrubbing to rinsing.

It does trim too. Faded black plastic comes back dark and stays that way, sealed against UV. Headlights resist yellowing. Exhaust tips shrug off soot. One 30 mL kit will do four wheels and the trim on most cars.

Prep matters. Wheels need a proper decon with IronX LimeScale and a wipe with Eraser before you coat. If you can take the wheels off and coat the barrels too, do it. More wheel coatings here.

Why it works

  • 400 °C heat resistance. Made for wheels, not adapted from paint.
  • Brake dust rinses off. Cleaning becomes a hose job.
  • Restores trim. Darkens and seals faded plastics.
  • Long lasting. 12+ months on wheels, longer on trim.

Directions

Decontaminate first: iron remover, clay if needed, then Eraser. Surface must be bone dry.

  1. Wrap a suede around the applicator block, 5 to 6 drops of DLUX.
  2. Apply in a criss cross pattern. Add product as needed to keep coverage even.
  3. Let it flash, about 1 minute at 30 °C, up to 10 minutes at 10 °C, then wipe the residue with a fresh suede.

Curing

  • No rain for 24 hours. Dry immediately if it gets wet.
  • Do not drive for 6 hours.
  • After 6 hours CARPRO Reload can go over the top to protect it while it hardens.
  • Sun helps it cure faster.

    Would recommend this product for detailing and removing the remains of polish or oils that remain on the paint surface. Easy to wipe on with a Microsoft cloth and with a second Microsoft cloth to remove the product from the paint, leaving the paintwork cleaner and ready for the ceramic coating.

    CARPRO C.QUARTZ DLUX Kit

    Applied to 4 new 17 inch rims prior to tyres being mounted. Kit did 2 coats on outside face of wheels and 1 coat on inside including inside of barrels. Also did 2 coats on new brake calipers. Application was straight forward. Ambient temperature was around 20 degrees. Finish was good. Can't comment on durability as the rims are not on the car yet.

    Carpark DLUX kit

    Purchased this product to use on the rims and under bonnet plastics of my GR Yaris.

    After preparing the rims off the car I used the product as specified on the included instructions which also included using Carpro Eraser ( purchased separately ) and the results are amazing !

    Remember preparation is the key !.

    The rims are very glossy and plastics have a deep dark finish.

    The hydrophobic effect on the rims is amazing.

    Time will tell how long the protection lasts.
