The orange pads are designed for a light cut, great for removal of swirl marks and light scratches. Works great with cutting and 1-step compounds.

CCS stands for Collapsed Cell Structure.
The face of a CCS pad is covered in strategically placed pockets. These pockets are locations where the foam cells have been closed. Polish does not absorb into these closed cell pockets, leaving more product on the pad's surface and on the paint. This polish-saving design gives polishes a longer working time, which results in more successful detailing.
Apply 4-6 pea-sized drops of compound onto the pad to prime it.
Work the product into the paintwork in a 50cm x 50cm area, using moderate to heavy pressure.
After the pad has been primed and you are moving onto another area, you will only need 3-4 pea-sized drops of compound.
If you are after more defect removal, use more product.
If you are after less defect removal but more gloss, use less product.
