The Waxit Paint Prep Kit is all about ensuring that your paintwork is prepared perfectly before you apply any protection, whilst being very easy & simple to do. Prep and Decontamination is one of the most important things in the detailing world, and is often one of the most overlooked. All the hype is around waxes, coatings, sealants & more - boasting incredible levels of gloss, protection, water-beading & more. Quite frankly, without proper preparation, these products will fail to perform and won't last anywhere near as long as they claim to. It's simple really. If you are putting let's say your favourite spray coating over the top of your contaminated paint that's got embedded dirt, iron, tar, sap and other issues over the paint - there is a physical barrier preventing the product from bonding to the paintwork. As these protective products can't form a strong bond to the paint due to contaminants, overtime the protection over these areas will fade - and all of a sudden your protective layer is compromised with a variety of tiny "holes". These "holes" exposing bare paint in your protective layer eventually get hit by the elements, and your usual culprits such as UV, dirt, grime and even more contaminants start eating away at the rest of your protection, overall making it last a fraction of the proposed durability. This is where our Paint Prep comes in and saves the day. Washing your car first with CARPRO Descale helps not only clean and soften stubborn dirt & debris, it also targets minerals and other contaminants that a regular wash does not. Combine this with a proper decontamination process utilising the advanced clay lubricant Nv PURIFY and the Economax Clay Mitt will help make sure that iron, and other contaminants are both chemically, and mechanically removed - providing an excellent level of decontamination. Top it all off with a final wipe down of CARPRO Eraser which will ensure any oils have been removed, and you will now have perfect, clean, bare paint that is ready to be protected by your favourite coating, wax or sealant!

It is always best to wash your car, and undergo a decontamination process out of direct sunlight.
- Either wash your car by using a Two Bucket Wash Method and/or a Foam Gun with CarPro Descale. (Couple of capfuls in a bucket wash (1:100), and around 1:10 in a Foam Gun).
- Once the car is washed (no need to Dry just yet), start working panel by panel with Nv PURIFY and the Waxit Clay Mitt to chemically and mechanically remove embedded contamination.
- Spray the Nv PURIFY onto the exterior surface, and wait 30-45 seconds for the product to react.
- Start rubbing the Waxit Clay Mitt back and forth gently in small sections, spraying more Nv PURIFY if necessary (if the mitt feels grippy).
- After you have completed this process, give the car another quick wash using Descale to ensure all the residue has been removed.
- Once the car is clean, dry the vehicle. Use CarPro Eraser just before you apply your protective product to ensure all oils have been removed.
