All our Lake Country pads are premium CCS pads, with black Velcro that extends to the edges and covers the whole back of the pad. This makes them a lot more durable.
The black CCS pad is a great all-round finishing pad, ideal for finishing or removing very light swirl marks. Its slim, tapered design allows it to work more effectively on dual action polishers.
The CCS range from Lake Country uses a unique, trademarked design to give better control of the pad on the surface, allowing the product to work longer and preventing pad skipping. By using high-quality foams, you get the best finish every time.
What Is CCS?
CCS stands for Collapsed Cell Structure. The face of a CCS pad is covered in strategically placed pockets. These pockets are locations where the foam cells have been closed. Polish does not absorb into these closed cell pockets, leaving more product on the pad's surface and on the paint.
This polish-saving design gives polishes a longer working time, which results in more successful detailing.
CCS Smart Pads™ work on every type of paint, from conventional clear coats to the harder, scratch-resistant clear coats used by Mercedes-Benz and the Ford Motor Company. Lake Country's range of foam compositions, combined with the right chemicals, provides you with a prescription to correct almost any paint imperfection on any paint finish.
Built for Random Orbital Polishers
The Lake Country CCS flat foam pads are designed with random orbital machines in mind. Special features have been included to allow them to withstand the particular forces a random orbital or forced rotation polisher places on pads, as opposed to a rotary polisher, which spins freely. These features include:
- Stronger glue to withstand the additional sideways force placed on the pad
- A stronger Velcro backing all the way to the edge of the pad to ensure the pad doesn't move
Note: If you see a flat CCS pad without these features, it is not designed for a random orbital polisher.
