The CCS range from Lake Country uses a unique, trademarked design to give better control of the pad on the surface, allowing the product to work longer and preventing pad skipping. By using high-quality foams, you get the best finish every time, no matter what machine you use, be it a random orbital, forced rotation or rotary polisher.
What Is CCS?
CCS stands for Collapsed Cell Structure. The face of a CCS pad is covered in strategically placed pockets. These pockets are locations where the foam cells have been closed. Polish does not absorb into these closed cell pockets, leaving more product on the pad's surface and on the paint. This polish-saving design gives polishes a longer working time, which results in more successful detailing.
CCS Smart Pads™ work on every type of paint, from conventional clear coats to the harder, scratch-resistant clear coats used by Mercedes Benz and the Ford Motor Company. Lake Country's range of foam compositions, combined with the right chemicals, provides you with a prescription to correct almost any paint imperfection on any paint finish.
Built for Random Orbital Machines
Our range of Lake Country CCS flat foam pads here at Waxit is designed with random orbital machine use in mind. Some special features have been included in these pads so they can withstand the particular forces a random orbital or forced rotation polisher places on pads, as opposed to a rotary polisher, which spins freely. These features include:
- Stronger glue to withstand the additional sideways force placed on the pad
- A stronger velcro backing all the way to the edge of the pad, to make sure the pad stays where it is meant to
If you see a flat CCS pad without these features, then it is not designed for a random orbital.
The Jeweling Pad
This Gold pad is known as the Jeweling Pad.
Jeweling is when you use a buffing pad with no abrasive qualities, such as the Lake Country CCS Gold foam, with a very fine abrasive polish such as Scholl Concepts S30+ or Menzerna SF4500. You then work the polish until you break down all the abrasive, and then continue to refine the lubricants to develop a super high level of gloss and increased clarity.
For those with a rotary polisher, this will add a new level of finish to your work. The same process can also be used with the Concours 900 or the Flex XC3401VRG forced rotation polisher.
