About Koch Chemie (MZR) Mehrzweckreiniger

MZR is the interior cleaner that does the heavy lifting. It is alkaline and concentrated, so diluted right it pulls grease, oil, ink and years of ground in dirt out of plastics, vinyl, door cards, carpets and fabric seats without harsh solvents.

Made by Koch Chemie for the professional interior bay, it is the one bottle you reach for when a quick detailer will not cut it. Strong dilutions for carpets and mats, weaker for dashboards and door cards, and it rinses or wipes away with no residue or greasy film.

For a light clean between proper ones, or on screens and delicate trim, use Allround Surface Cleaner instead. MZR is for when the interior actually needs cleaning. More interior cleaners here.

Note: the 1 L bottle does not include a spray trigger.

Directions
  1. Dilute for the surface (see dilutions).
  2. Spray onto the surface or a brush. On fabric, spray lightly rather than soaking.
  3. Agitate with a soft brush for seams, textures and stains.
  4. Wipe with a damp microfibre, or extract on carpets and seats.
  5. Repeat on stubborn marks. Do not let it dry.
Dilutions
  • Carpets, mats, heavy stains: 1:5
  • Fabric seats: 1:10
  • Plastics, vinyl, door cards: 1:10 to 1:20
  • Light general cleaning: 1:20 to 1:30

Test leather in a hidden spot and use a dedicated leather cleaner where you can.

Safety
  • Test on an inconspicuous area first.
  • Do not let it dry on the surface.
  • Gloves and eye protection. Work in a ventilated area.
  • Keep away from children. Store cool and dry.

    An excellent APC

    MZR is an excellent APC, especially for the more stubborn or built up gunk on interiors. It's certainly on par with Autosmart G101 for cleaning power, dilute at around 1:10 and agitate if necessary. It is very high pH at 12.5 so I wouldn't be letting it sit for too long before wiping off

    Koch Chemie MZR

    Excellent on plastics, cleaned my work boot scuffmarks off my lower drivers door skin. Nothing else did it as easily. Very potent so use as directed.
