Lake Country HDO pads are designed for random orbital (dual action) machines. With a reduced diameter and a slim profile, they provide the most evenly distributed point of contact, making them the ultimate DA pad for balance and control. The improved interface gives greater stability on flat panels while still adjusting to the contours of curved areas. The pads are designed to minimise micro marring and haze while still activating the compound or polish to work at its full potential. They run extremely cool and are very resistant to delamination.
The Red Waxing Pad is great for waxing and sealing the paint. Its larger cell structure than the black pad allows for better sealant control.

HDO vs SDO
Lake Country are always innovating and pushing the limits of pad technology, and this is no different with their HDO and SDO CCS lines of pads. So what's the difference?
Essentially, HDO pads are designed to have increased performance with long-throw dual action polishers, while SDO pads are designed more towards forced rotation, rotary or other non-long-throw dual action polishers.
SDO pads are slightly thinner than HDO pads, so SDO offers a lower price point and an alternative for users of forced rotation polishers.

Haven't put this to paint yet though it appears to be very well constructed. Foam is perfectly cut. Every surface is free from imperfections.

I always tossed up whether I should wax by hand or by DA polisher. For small or intricate areas you can't go past the Lake Country rectangular red waxing pad. Once you intend to wax larger areas including mutiple panels or the entire vehicle - just do yourself a favour and get these. I love the idea of waxing with a DA and what appears to the wax "melting" into the surface for then the easiest of wipe-offs to result in a superb finish.
