About CARPRO C.QUARTZ Leather 2.0

Leather seats wear out from the inside: body oils soak in, jeans transfer dye, UV dries and cracks the surface. CQUARTZ Leather 2.0 puts a semi permanent barrier on top so none of that reaches the leather. Spills wipe off, dye does not take, and the seat looks like it did the day the car was delivered, with no added gloss.

It is a water based formula from CARPRO, tested against mud, grease, crayon, dye transfer and even super glue. Hydrophobic and oleophobic, so liquids bead and oils do not soak in. UV resistant, so the colour stays. And it resists the mechanical wear of people climbing in and out for 1 to 2 years.

Works on finished leather, vinyl and synthetic leather. Clean the seats properly with a leather cleaner first, let them dry for two hours, then coat. Find the rest of the leather protection range here.

Why it works

  • 1 to 2 years. A coating, not a conditioner you reapply monthly.
  • Stops dye transfer. Jeans and dark clothing no longer mark light leather.
  • Repels oils and spills. Hydrophobic and oleophobic.
  • Factory matte look. No gloss, no change in feel.
Directions
  1. Clean all leather thoroughly with a leather cleaner such as CARPRO Inside. Let it dry for 2 hours.
  2. Put 3 to 4 drops on the suede applicator and work it into the leather. Add product as needed.
  3. Wait 3 to 6 minutes, buff the residue with a microfibre.
  4. Touch dry in 10 minutes. A second coat can go on 45 minutes after the first.
  5. No water for 4 hours. Fully cured in 48 hours.

Shelf life: up to 6 months once opened.

Coating or conditioner?

A conditioner feeds and softens leather and needs reapplying every month or two. Leather 2.0 seals the surface for 1 to 2 years, so it protects rather than conditions. For most modern coated leather, protection is what matters. If the leather is already dry and cracked, condition first with the Finisher Leather range, then coat.
