About MIRCH Grime Reaper

Grime Reaper is one product for wheels and tyres. It is a concentrated alkaline cleaner that clings, reacts fast and loosens brake dust, oils, tyre browning and road grime before you touch anything. Less agitation, faster rinse, better result.

It is not a reactive cleaner, so it will not turn purple. Instead it uses surfactants, solvents, alkaline salts, builders and chelates to engulf contamination and pull it off. That is what lets it handle iron, tar, oils and organic grime on both the rim and the rubber.

Dilution gives you control. 1:3 for a neglected wheel or heavy tyre browning, 1:10 for a maintenance wash, which is also where it is safe on coated wheels. Not for raw polished metal or ceramic brakes. Previously sold as Grime Off.

Directions
  1. Shake well. Dilute for the job: 1:3 heavy cleaning, 1:5 general, 1:10 maintenance.
  2. Mist generously onto a cool, dry wheel and tyre.
  3. Dwell 1 to 3 minutes. Do not let it dry.
  4. Agitate heavy areas with a wheel or tyre brush, especially spokes and lug recesses.
  5. Rinse thoroughly bottom to top, from several angles.

Do not use on raw metals or ceramic brakes.

  • 1:5. General wheel and tyre cleaning.
  • 1:10. Every wash maintenance. Safe on wheel coatings.

Whats the difference between Grime Reaper and Dragon Blood from MIRCH?
So Grime Reaper is kind of like the “all rounder” wheel cleaner. It’s alkaline formulation and super large cleaning profile means it’s pretty much the go to for maintenance, allowing you to clean your wheels and tyres super easily & economically by diluting it and using the one product for both. BUT, it’s alkaline nature and unique formulation can sometimes struggle against SUPER deep, embedded iron/brake dust. This is where we tend to reach for Dragon Blood, which is acidic and specifically targets and reacts to deep iron/brake dust. It’s not as good at removing dirt/grime compared to Grime Reaper, but if iron is your issue then look to the Dragon.
Is this product safe to use on ceramic coated wheels?
For proper ceramic wheel coatings, Grime Reaper is fine to maintain this at weaker dilutions. If your wheels are coated, chances are the wheels are staying cleaner for longer & the contamination on the surface isn’t that bad - so go for a dilution around 1:10 and this will maintain well + keep your ceramic coating working well and won’t damage a proper ceramic.
Can I use even heavier dilutions? Say 1:1?
If you do want more cleaning power, we have tried to product at 1:1 or 1:2 with some super results - but make sure you do a test section on an inconspicuous area. At this heavy dilution it can be pretty aggressive, so just be mindful. Cleaning power will be very good, but be weary.
Do I have to agitate? Can this give me a touchless clean?
Yes this product can definitely give a touchless clean - its powerful enough to grab everything off the wheels & brakes. BUT it really depends on the condition if your wheels & tyres. If they are in a bad state and things are pretty embedded then you may need to agitate with some wheel cleaning brushes or a tyre brush to properly remove all the contamination.

    Impressed!

    A very easy to use wheel and tyre cleaner it has a very subtle scent. I mixed it at a 1:1 ratio and straight away as soon as i sprayed the rubber was getting brown foam as it was dissolving the old tyre shine and road grime which I was pleasantly surprised. I let it sit for a few mins on the rim and rubber then rinsed and done a contact clean.

    As you can see in the pic scrubbing the rubber with a stiff tyre brush done wonders to cleaning up the rubber ready for dressing later on.

    Highly recommended!

    Great Stuff

    Brought this and Dragon Blood to do a comparison. Wasn't impressed with Dragon Blood, but Grime Reaper at 1.1 dilution is my new go to wheel cleaner
