CARPRO C.QUARTZ SiC | Ceramic Coating Kit · 50mL Kit$134.95 About CARPRO C.QUARTZ SiC
CQUARTZ SiC takes the sharp gloss, hydrophobics, and durability you expect from a ceramic coating then dials up the resistance. With added Silicon Carbide, this coating shrugs off water spotting, chemicals, and daily abuse, while delivering that deep, mirror-wet look detailers chase.
CARPRO CQUARTZ SiC is the next step in ceramic coating evolution adding Silicon Carbide for stronger resistance, deeper gloss, and longer life. It builds on the proven backbone of the CQUARTZ range, but pushes into new territory with its ability to fight off water spots, traffic film, mineral deposits and harsh chemicals.
The finish it leaves is rich and reflective that wet, candy gloss detailers chase. Beyond looks, SiC brings serious slickness. You can feel it instantly like paint wrapped in Teflon. And that slickness means dirt, grime, and fallout struggle to stick in the first place.
Thanks to its low surface tension, water glides off at high contact angles. This not only keeps your paint cleaner for longer, but makes every wash faster and safer.
Despite being tougher and more durable than most consumer coatings, it still applies with confidence. It doesn’t flash aggressively like UK 3.0 giving you more control over each section. One coat is great. Two coats? That’s next-level protection and gloss.
If you’re chasing a professional-level ceramic coating with real durability and improved resistance to environmental damage, CQUARTZ SiC is it. Built to last. Built to shine. Built to protect.
Note: CQUARTZ SiC has a slower cure than CQUARTZ UK 3.0, giving you more working time, which suits hot conditions. UK 3.0 is faster to wipe off.
Directions
Preparation:
- Thoroughly wash and decontaminate the vehicle using iron remover and a clay bar. Even new cars need full prep.
- If needed, perform paint correction to remove any defects — these will be locked under the coating.
- Polish the surface with a finishing polish like CarPro Essence for maximum clarity and bonding.
- Wipe down all panels with CarPro Eraser to remove polishing oils.
Application:
- Wrap the included suede microfiber around the applicator block.
- Apply 5–6 drops of CQUARTZ SiC and spread in a criss-cross pattern over a small area (half a panel at a time).
- Let the coating flash for ~5 minutes (shorter in warm weather, longer in cooler temps).
- Level and remove excess with a clean microfiber towel, then follow up with a fresh suede towel for an even finish.
Coating Tips:
- Allow at least 45–60 minutes between coats. If more than 90 minutes pass, wait until the next day for a second coat.
- CQUARTZ SiC does not require Reload, but you can apply it after full cure for added slickness.
- Do not apply in direct sunlight or to hot panels. Ensure a well-ventilated area and wear gloves.

Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the difference between CQUARTZ SiC and CQUARTZ UK 3.0 Ceramic Coating?
The main difference is in the chemistry. SiC uses Silicon Carbide, which makes it more resistant to water spotting, minerals, and chemical damage. It also flashes slower than UK 3.0, giving you more control during application.
UK 3.0 is slightly easier to apply and wipes off faster, but SiC gives better long-term resistance and a slightly glossier finish. Some detailers even layer them, UK as the base, SiC on top for the best of both.
How long does CQUARTZ SiC last?
With proper prep and maintenance, CQUARTZ SiC typically lasts 18 to 24 months, sometimes longer. It resists wash chemicals, UV exposure, and mineral deposits far better than traditional waxes or sealants.
Maintaining it with safe wash methods and occasional toppers can extend lifespan and keep performance sharp.
Is CQUARTZ SiC Ceramic Coating safe to use on matte or satin finishes?
Yes, CQUARTZ SiC can be used on matte or satin finishes, but it will add a slight darkening effect and some gloss. If you want to maintain a true matte look, test a small hidden section first or consider dedicated matte-specific coatings instead.
Is CQUARTZ SiC beginner friendly or best left to pros?
SiC is user-friendly and forgiving, more so than some fast-flashing coatings like UK 3.0. That said, success depends on good prep and attention to detail. If you’ve never applied a coating before, take your time and follow the steps carefully.
If you're not confident with polishing or paint correction, consider prepping with guidance or working with a detailer for the best results.
