The ShineMate Pad Stacks are a complete line-up of car polishing pads built for serious correction work and refined finishing. Each stack includes six colour-coded foam pads covering the full range - from heavy cutting pads right through to intermediate and finishing pads.
Diamond pads use a precision foam cut to lower surface heat and reduce vibration, making them ideal for longer sessions and sensitive paints. Flat pads maximise surface contact, delivering direct correction power and sharper response. Both are cut with ShineMate’s tapered shape, protecting your backing plate from accidental contact and giving you better edge control where it counts.

ShineMate pads are tapered - the foam face is slightly larger than the backing plate they’re designed to fit. Here’s how it breaks down:

This keeps your plate off the paint and gives you safer edge control. Just match the pad to your backing plate size - not the pad’s face size.
Flat vs Diamond - what's the difference?
Flat pads offer maximum contact and cutting speed - great for fast defect removal and quick results.
Diamond pads feature a patterned surface that improves heat dissipation and pad balance. They reduce vibration and hold their shape longer during extended use. Ideal for sensitive paintwork or longer polishing jobs.
Are these pads compatible with all car polishers?

I purchased the ShineMate pad stack and like the other ShineMate gear I have these are just great but I wanted to say about the service this seller provides. I can order on a Tuesday and usually receive my products in Hobart on a Friday. I am impressed with the fast dispatch out of the warehouse but what is more impressive is that this company still retains phone line contact where you can call and get direct technical advice from an advisor, now that is rare and must be applauded, way larger companies than Waxit Car Care don't offer that old style service, 10 out of 10.

If you are used to sanding disc products the "grit" numbers are in reverse however.
Used on my Ranger which had some heavy pin striping from offroad use and these all but eliminated them! Super happy
