About Waxit Enthusiast Car Polishing Kit

This is the kit we hand people who want to polish their own car and get it right first time. A machine that is forgiving, pads matched to it, and the three compounds that cover everything from heavy swirls to final gloss. No filler.

The ShineMate ERO600 is a 9 mm throw dual action polisher. Compact, smooth, soft start, constant speed under load. It gets into curves and tight body lines without bogging, and it is very hard to damage paint with. Seven ShineMate diamond pads cover cutting, intermediate and finishing. The diamond face runs cooler and is easy to control, which is exactly what you want when learning.

Compounds are Koch Chemie, the same German range the pros use. H9.02 for heavy defects, F6.01 for one step correction, M3.02 for final gloss. Low dust, long working time, diminishing abrasives that finish clean.

Tested on soft Japanese clears through to hard European paint. Forgiving enough for a first go, capable of a professional finish once you have the hang of it. Pair it with CARPRO Eraser and a coating and the result lasts years. ShineMate warranty details here.

Directions

Watch the video first, then:

  1. Start with a clean, decontaminated surface.
  2. Test a section with the least aggressive combo first, red pad and M3.02.
  3. Prime the pad with 6 to 7 drops. After that, 3 to 4 drops per section.
  4. Centre the pad on the backing plate.
  5. Spread at speed 2, then polish at speed 5.
  6. Light, even pressure. 4 to 5 passes, alternating horizontal and vertical.
  7. Wipe off, inspect, step up the pad or compound only if needed.
  8. Repeat panel by panel. Finish with Eraser before any coating.

The 9mm throw balances cutting power and finish quality beautifully, especially on tighter body lines and softer paint systems. It’s a proper tool without overwhelming first-time users.
How do I maintain the pads and machine after use?
After polishing, rinse pads thoroughly with warm water and pad cleaner. Gently massage out any residue and let them air dry flat. Wipe down the machine and store it in a dry area. Avoid leaving pads compressed on the backing plate, and inspect cords regularly to keep your setup running reliably.
What's the difference between this and a professional kit?
Professional kits like the ShineMate EX620 15mm PRO Kit usually include larger-throw machines (15–21mm), rotary polishers, or heavier-duty pads for higher-speed correction.
