About Waxit Complete Wheel Care Kit

A full wheel & tyre system designed to handle everything from heavy contamination to general maintenance.

The Waxit Complete Wheel Care Kit is designed for those who want a proper, no-compromise approach to wheel and tyre care. It brings together reactive, acid-free iron removal, deep alkaline cleaning, and durable tyre protection - backed up with a tonne of the right tools and accessories to get the most out of your products.

We’ve pulled together some of our most trusted wheel and tyre cleaners and accessories from multiple trusted brands - products we use ourselves, that perform consistently, and that have proven popular with our customers (pros and enthusiasts alike). The result is a complete system that’s backed by us and refined by thousands of Aussies.

At the core of the kit is MIRCH Grime Reaper, supplied here in a generous 2.5L size - and it’s the product you’ll reach for first in most situations. Its advanced alkaline formula makes it an excellent maintenance wheel and tyre cleaner, tackling grime, oils, dirt, brake dust and tyre browning with ease. Thanks to its dilution flexibility, it can be mixed down for regular washes or used stronger when things are a bit more neglected - delivering serious value and making it the everyday workhorse of the kit.

For situations where contamination is more stubborn, the kit includes a 1L Nv PURGE as a periodic heavy-hitter, or a go-to for those performance cars that love brake dust. PURGE is an acid-free reactive wheel cleaner designed to target deeply embedded iron and brake dust that alkaline cleaners can sometimes struggle with. It’s not something you need every wash, but when wheels haven’t been properly decontaminated in a while, PURGE is the perfect tool to bring them back under control. We’ve been genuinely surprised by how broad Grime Reaper’s cleaning profile is, and by its level of iron removal - but on some super heavy stuff, having something specifically iron-reactive can be huge.

Once your tyres and wheels are properly cleaned with Grime Reaper, a 500mL CARPRO DarkSide finishes the job. This silicone-based (polydimethylsiloxane) tyre dressing bonds to rubber to provide a durable, clean finish that can be adjusted to suit your preference - from a factory-style satin look through to a deeper, darker gloss, without greasy residue or sling.

What really sets this kit apart is how complete it is. Alongside the core chemicals, you get a full selection of purpose-built tools - microfiber wheel brushes, the Aquatouch SCRUBBA tyre scrub applicator, the CARPRO DarkSide Brush, detailing brushes, a dedicated 20L wheel bucket with grit guard, bucket organiser, and an Economax mixing bottle for accurate dilutions. Everything has a role, and nothing feels like an afterthought.

If you’re after a wheel and tyre kit that covers heavy contamination, regular maintenance, and durable tyre protection, without needing to add extra products or tools - the Waxit Complete Wheel Care Kit delivers a seriously complete setup.

Directions / Precautions
Directions:
  1. Dilute for the job
Start by diluting your alkaline cleaner in the Economax mixing bottle. Around 1:5 - 1:10 for regular maintenance and stronger ratios (say 1:3) for heavier grime or tyre browning.
  2. Clean Wheels & Tyres
Apply Grime Reaper to cool, dry wheels and tyres. Allow a short dwell, then agitate where needed using the microfiber wheel brushes, detailing brushes, or the SCRUBBA on the tyres. Rinse thoroughly after a few minutes (don't let the product dry!).
  3. Reactive Wheel Cleaner (if needed)
If Grime Reaper wasn’t able to get everything off, it’s most likely super-embedded iron fallout or brake dust. This is where we can hit the wheel with a quick go-over with Nv PURGE, agitating again with our tools and accessories if needed. This should give us a complete clean. Let it react for a few minutes again and rinse off - don’t let it dry.
  4. Dry the Tyres
Ensure tyres are fully clean and dry before dressing. A quick towel dry or short air dry is usually enough.
  5. Protect the Tyres
Apply tyre dressing to an applicator or microfiber and spread evenly over the sidewall. Thin layer for a clean satin look and add additional layers for more depth or gloss. Allow to cure before driving.

Precautions & Notes
  • Always work on cool surfaces and out of direct sunlight.
  • Do not allow products to dry on the surface.
  • Use reactive cleaners only when needed, avoid overuse.
  • Avoid use on raw or uncoated metals and sensitive finishes.
  • Rinse brushes thoroughly after use and allow them to air dry.
  • Gloves are recommended when handling wheel and tyre chemicals.
  • This setup gives you control, maintenance when things are clean, and extra firepower when they’re not, without adding unnecessary steps to every wash.

Frequently Asked Questions

This kit covers a lot, so it’s normal to have a few questions before getting started. Below we’ve answered some of the most common things we get asked about using the kit, when to reach for each product, and how to get the best results. If there’s anything we haven’t covered, feel free to get in touch - we’re always happy to help.

Which Wheel Cleaner should I use?
For most washes, start with the alkaline cleaner, Grime Reaper. It’s designed to handle regular maintenance, general grime, brake dust, and tyre cleaning, and should be your first reach in most situations.

Use the reactive wheel cleaner periodically when wheels have stubborn, embedded iron or heavy brake dust that isn’t fully removed by alkaline cleaning alone. It’s a problem-solver, and might work beautifully on some wheels that have heavy iron/brake fallout, but not always necessary.
Do I have to use every product for every wash?
No. This system is designed to give you options, not extra steps. Regular maintenance usually only requires alkaline cleaning. Reactive decontamination & applying your tyre dressing is usually only needed occasionally, depending on wheel condition and driving habits. The tyre dressing once applied properly to a clean tyre will give you months, not weeks of protection.
Can I use this system on my ceramic coated wheels?
Yes, when used correctly. Ceramic coated wheels generally don’t need heavy cleaning, so lighter alkaline dilutions are usually more than enough. Reactive cleaners can still be used when needed, just avoid long dwell times and always rinse thoroughly.

As always, work on cool surfaces and don’t allow products to dry.
What wheels or finishes should I avoid?
Avoid using strong wheel cleaners on raw or uncoated metals, highly polished finishes, and ceramic brake components. If you’re unsure about a wheel finish, start with the mildest approach first and test on an inconspicuous area. And feel free to get in touch with us if you are unsure!
