CARPRO Reset | pH Neutral Car Wash Soap · 1L$39.95 About CARPRO Reset
A pH neutral car wash soap that cleans properly and rinses clean, with nothing added to fake the shine.
Reset is CARPRO's pH neutral car wash and one of the most popular car soaps we sell. There are no gloss enhancers or fillers in it, so all it does is clean. Dirt and road film come off, nothing gets left behind, and your protection is free to do its job.
Being pH neutral, it won't strip your wax, sealant or ceramic coating. Because it rinses completely clean, the beading and slickness come straight back after every wash, which makes it a natural match for a coating like CARPRO CQUARTZ UK 3.0. It's just as good on bare paint too.
Reset is made for the wash bucket. It's really easy to use, and a small amount gives you plenty of suds and slickness under your mitt. It works just as well in a foam cannon for your pre-wash, so one shampoo covers your whole wash. It's concentrated too, so a bottle goes a long way. Whether you're doing a quick weekly wash or a full detail, it does the job.
Pair it with a soft mitt like the CARPRO DabDab and a good drying towel like the Aquatouch BIG FELLA V2 and you're set. You'll also find it in our CARPRO Wash & Protect Kit and Ultimate Ceramic Coating Kit, and the rest of the range in our CARPRO collection.
If you want one shampoo that does the job every wash without messing with your protection, this is it.
Directions
Bucket wash
- Mix 20mL of Reset per 10L of water (1:500).
- Wash from the top down with a soft wash mitt.
- Rinse your mitt in a second bucket of clean water between panels. Our two-bucket wash guide covers it step by step.
- Rinse the car thoroughly and dry with a microfibre drying towel.
Foam cannon (pre-wash)
- Mix about 1:10 in your foam cannon bottle (100mL of Reset in 1L of water). Adjust to suit how thick you want the foam.
- Foam the whole car evenly.
- Let it dwell for 2 to 3 minutes. Don't let it dry on the surface.
- Rinse thoroughly, then follow with your bucket wash.

Common questions
Is CARPRO Reset right for my car?
If you want a shampoo that just cleans, yes. It's pH neutral with no gloss enhancers or fillers, so it suits any car, from bare paint through to a ceramic coating. It's especially good on coated cars, where a shampoo with added gloss can dull the beading.
Why doesn't Reset have gloss enhancers?
Gloss enhancers leave a layer behind on your paint. On a protected car, that layer sits over your protection and can dull its beading and slickness. Reset leaves nothing behind, so what you see after a wash is your protection doing its job.
How much Reset do I use in a bucket?
Start with 20mL per 10L of water, which is a 1:500 ratio. Treat 20 to 30mL as a general guide rather than a hard rule. If the car's really dirty, a little extra gives you more slickness under the mitt. In a foam cannon, go for about 1:10.
What surfaces is Reset safe on?
It's safe on bare paint and on any protection you've got over it, from wax and sealant through to a ceramic coating. It's also safe on PPF and vinyl wrap. Because there's nothing in it to add shine, it's a good choice for matte and satin finishes too, where gloss enhancers can leave the finish patchy.
